| FRAYSER INVITATIONAL RESULTS |

March 29, 2008 Terry Spencer took some Columbia Judo club members to the
Frayser Judo Club tournament in Memphis Tennessee. The tournament was a success and an enjoyable experience. Members who participated were: Jeff Payne, Mike Smith, John Pepper, Elliot Hogan, John Spencer, Dylan Spencer, Sam Smith, Logan Smith and Jake Smith. Jeff Payne fought in a Masters Open division. He fought some grueling matches and came away with the silver. Mike Smith had a tremendous showing loosing only to Dan Smith, Terry Spencer's Sensei in Dickson. He came away with the Silver in the Masters over 40 division, and the Gold in the Senior division. John Pepper fought in the Masters over 30 division and came away the bronze. He also fought in the Senior division.
Our younger members also performed very well. They
each handled themselves in the spirit of Judo when faced with questionable calls
and superior opponents. Their enthusiasm and fighting spirit was
contagious.
